Hello, lovelies!

It has been a long, busy and wild summer here at the Rye house.

We did hockey three days a week in Lake Hallie, tons of fun trips for the kiddos, Rutabaga, tryouts for spring AAA, and now here we are at the first day of school and wondering where the summer went.

Over these last few months, I worked diligently on my romantasy, Prey to the Princess. After a lot of hard work and getting into the end of the book, I made a big decision:

I'm not publishing it.

I know that sucks to hear, and it's been a lot of work for seemingly nothing.

However, I cannot in good conscience publish a novel that I don't feel hits the quality and wow-factor of my previous one.

I'm not giving up on it- but it's going on the back burner for now, and hopefully, one day, it will come alive again and be able to be put out to the public.

On that note, I have decided on a new path for my writing- for now- and I'm excited to announce...

The Hillsdale Hockey Moms Series.

My thought process going into this:

-I am a hockey mom

-Hockey romance is all the rage right now, but, there isn't the kind I'm looking for...

-Main characters in their 30's and 40's, like me

-Hockey MOM romance... with some adult hockey players, coaches, zam drivers, whatever I decide on.

These will be hockey romances with less hockey, more spice, and at an age level that makes way more sense for most of us.

So, my beautiful people,

keep an eye out for Book One- Lena- coming ASAP.

I will still be releasing my third installment of the Blurred Lines Poetry Series around Christmastime, but we're starting over in the novel world.

I'm hoping to bring you into a new world- a world like my own. I've learned in my writing process that my best work always comes from experience.

Pushing out something rushed and low-quality isn't my style.

I'm not just publishing to publish, if you know what I mean.

Apologies to those waiting on the spicy romantasy- you'll have to wait a bit longer. It would be a disservice to myself, and to all of you, to ask you to order a book from me that I didn't feel was my best work.

Though I'm unsure anything will ever compare to Not a Victim- and I'm okay with that- writing from experience is the better fit for me.

I also have a few standalones I am plotting!!

Watch your emails, watch the blog, read my work and PLEASE review it.

As always, sending peace and love- may your blanket be cozy, your socks be fuzzy, your coffee be warm and your pages be turning.
